Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Dear All,

2020 will probably go down in history as a year we experienced "in brackets", .... 2020, an unfinished year, a lost year, a postponed year, everyone will evaluate and feel this year that will shape humanity in their own way.

Never in peacetime has the sporting world experienced such a brutal standstill and such a long period of imposed inactivity, followed by a very sluggish resumption under strict precautions and conditions that still and again condemn us to sporting inactivity.

It is to be hoped that the first vaccines against the Corona virus, which have just been approved, will soon bring us back to a more accustomed normality, also in sport and in the circle of CS GYM-VOLLEY, even if nothing will ever be the same again !

In this context, the FLVB is planning a video conference with the affiliated clubs on 11 January 2021 to discuss the modalities for the continuation of the championship. Currently, a resumption of match operations is planned for 20 or 27 February 2021 at the earliest, if training sessions are possible again from the beginning of February.

In this anticipation and in view of the upcoming end-of-year celebrations, I would therefore like to thank you all for your commitment to GYM-VOLLEY and wish you, as well as your loved ones and relatives, a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021, in advance health and the hoped-for sporting success.

All activities suspended

26/11/2020 - The new law adopted by Parliament on 25 November to contain the Corona pandemic bans all indoor sports activities until 15 December 2020 for the time being.

Under these conditions we won't be able to resume any activities as planned and we are very sorry about this!

You will find all information about the sanitary restrictions that affect us on the following links:

Ministère des sports : les recommandations sanitaires du 26 novembre 2020 ayant traits aux activités sportives
Direction de la santé : recommandations sanitaires temporaires à l'attention des établissements offrant des activités sportives et des activités de bien-être de type wellness

We will of course keep you informed of any - hopefully positive - developments that would enable us to resume our training sessions by the end of the year.

We thank you for your understanding.

The first away match of the season: V80 Pétange - CS GYM Volley

Last Saturday our ladies had a hard time in Pétange. In the first set the nervousness on Bonnevoies's side was obvious and the V80 Pétange did everything to justify this uncertainty of his opponent: Pétange started the game at full throttle, but the GYM had collected itself by the end of the first set and won.

Pétange did not put up with this and equalised the score in the sets at the end of a fiercely competitive second set.

One thing can be deemed certain: against an opponent like Pétange the block performance and the defence must impress. In the last two sets, GYM Volley did just that and, through a collective effort, was able to take home the victory of the first away game of the season.
